Psalm 130:3-4 If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord, who could stand? [4] But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.
How would anyone be able to experience the power of forgiveness if that which they had done was never erased? We, as humans, love to hold onto that which others have done wrong. We love to use these things as weapons at just the right moments, moments that serve to enhance our own agenda. But what about forgiveness? When God forgives us, He removes any further guilt resulting from that which we have done wrong. In other words, what we have done, after it has been forgiven, is no longer held against us by God. Can you imagine what this world would be like if we forgave and forgot as God does?

Lord, help me become a true forgiver, one who forgives and lets go.
