Through this information, we see that within his short amount of time in the game he is already among the elite, among the best to ever grace the field, among the best to ever stand up to the plate.
Albert’s dominance in the game of baseball might not come as a surprise if you are a loyal Cardinals fan or a rival Cubs supporter, but the attention he gives to his faith might amaze you. This surprise comes to many because it is a part of him that is left out and/or downplayed by most media outlets. They desire to report on his abilities as a baseball player but want to set aside his ability to affect the world through his faith.
In his own words, found on page 139, Albert describes his life’s purpose, his reason for existing, “Baseball is simply my platform to elevate Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior.” After reading this book, I have been encouraged by the faith of Albert Pujols.
