Daily Devotion 11/19/11

Matthew 27:22 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?” Pilate asked. They all answered, “Crucify him!”
They all answered, “Crucify Him!” What do you answer? Words might not be spoken, but your answer is still heard. What do you answer? Thoughts might not be revealed, but your answer is still clear.  We were not present when our Lord and Savior was crucified; but as we live our lives incorrectly, are we not pounding the nails deeper into His hands and feet? Within that crowd, there were people who shouted praises as Jesus entered into the city a week earlier, and now they call for His death. In such a short time, they changed. In such a short time, they turned their backs on Him, but have we not done the same many times over within our lives? We sing on Sunday, as we should, but do we live it on Monday and again on Tuesday and again on Wednesday and again on Thursday, and again on Friday, and yet again on Saturday?
Prayer Starter:
Lord, help me have the courage to live for You in such a way that Your presence will be evident.
