7/24/12 Daily Devotion

1 Peter 1:23For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

Christians are to be held to a higher standard, and rightly so, but this does not make them perfect. Others, even other Christians, will condemn them for their imperfections and frailties, but at some point they will come to be reminded that ALL Christians make mistakes and/or cause an infractions to occur. At times, we all forget that we are imperfect. We all forget get the we are born with a tendency to sin, even after we are born again. Caution and care must be utilized in dealing with people who are judgmental, for they will always state that they are not judging, when in fact their actions speak the opposite. The best plan of action is to walk as close to God as possible and strive to be a good example, all the while knowing that one day this will not be the truth, for God offers forgiveness to ALL who see the error of their ways and seek His face.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me live for You, knowing that I will never achieve perfection in my walk.
