8/22/12 Daily Devotion

Acts 6:8 Now Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.

Stephen was a man dedicated to the sharing of the gospel and the God that it represented. He lived his faith out loud, and nothing was going to prevent this from happening. It did not matter to him if opposition stepped into his life. He was going to live for God. It did not matter if contention arose between those who had called him a friend. He was going to live for God. It did not matter if he lost all those who were close to him. He was going to live for God. Stephen adopted a philosophy that seems to be missing within the church today. Stephen believed it was necessary to live his faith out loud and purposefully. Are you one of the few that have adopted this philosophy? Are you one of the few who refuse to allow their secular lives to cause their Christianity to vanish? If you’re not, maybe this moment right now is the time that this changes.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me begin to possess sold out faith, faith that allows nothing to come before You.
