8/24/12 Daily Devotion

Acts 9:22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.

The power in Saul’s witness came from his willingness give his life completely to God. Saul was another powerful witness that emerged from a life that was headed down the wrong path. His eyes were literally closed to his own way of thinking and opened to the ways of God. Once this happened, he was on fire for the Lord. Our eyes need to be closed to our own agenda and opened for the glory of God. Our lives need to be so focused on God that no one ever has the opportunity to wonder about our purpose for existing. When we have totally become a servant of God, as Saul did, we will be able to do great things for His glory.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me choose to serve You powerfully with my life.
