2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Love is a wonderful aspect of life. It bonds two people together and draws them into a relationship that is almost indescribable. It allows them to be who they are but change slightly to become all that their spouse ever hoped to receive within a marriage partner. The bond of faith is very much the same within a marriage. The Bible speaks candidly and clearly about marriage. It does not condemn marriage. But it cautions that it must be entered into properly, or negative issues are certain to arrive. Its declarations include something that is quite prevalent within society today, being yoked to an unbeliever. There is no condemnation of the unbeliever, but there is much concern for the relationship between them and a believer. For the believers, church, faith, God, and all that entails, is supposed to be the cornerstone of their lives. For the unbelievers, church, faith, God, and all that entails, does not play an important role within their lives, thus causing friction within the life of the believer. This is not to say that one who believes and one who does not cannot be in love, but it does say that their relationship will eventually be entangled in a series of serious events/conversations/arguments because of faith. The choice is to the individual, but the choice should be made with caution and understanding.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me become surrounded by a multitude of people who share my faith in You.
