9/5/12 Daily Devotion

Acts 14:1 At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed.

Paul was an effective speaker. He brought forth the understanding of God’s directives to all who were blessed to be within his audience. Even so, this does not make Paul a more effective speaker than any other person. Paul’s confidence and understanding were the factors in his effectiveness. He stood confident of himself, God, and the message that God asked him to bring into this world. Paul cared about the gospel and its presentation into the lives of all those upon this earth. While we will never be Paul, we can have the same effect within this world, but only if we believe our ability to communicate the gospel comes from and is ordained by God.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me find my way of sharing Your gospel within this world.
