10/11/12 Daily Devotion

Revelation 21:2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

The scriptural image that we receive as the words of today’s verse rolls off our tongues is simply amazing. To think about the finality of this earth and the completion of the plan of God, to think about the Holy City coming from Heaven, to think about the presence of God dwelling forever where man resides, WOW. What an amazing God we serve. What an amazing God we are blessed to have within our lives. We are not worthy of the opportunities He has set before us and the future He has is store for us, yet He continues to bring these great blessings into our lives. For all that He has done us, for all that He has prepared for us, is He not deserving of our undivided attention and admiration?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, You are so kind to me, an undeserving sinner. Please continue to consider me, and I will try to consider all that I do and how it demonstrates to this world Your place within my life.
