Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. [2] Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
For many people, it’s hard to grasp the reality of the Spirit of God. It’s easy to believe in something if we can see it with our eyes, but to believe in something that we cannot see can only happen by faith. The Bible clearly states from the beginning that the Spirit of God is a real, viable aspect of life, and this should be believed and respected. But what about how we feel? If we feel there is not Spirit dwelling within us, then its power is nullified by our unbelief. But as we embrace its presence, we begin to feel its existence. In some cases, in ways we never could have imagined. The Spirit of God urges us to live better lives and serve more faithfully. It causes us to feel guilty when we do something that is in direct contradiction to the Bible. The Spirit of God is real and has the power to carry us through each day, but only if we allow. Will you begin to feel and follow the Spirit of God that dwells within you?
