10/25/12 Daily Devotion

Acts 9:31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

One of the blessings of the Spirit comes from the encouragement we receive from its presence within our lives. God has an innate desire to become an intimate part of our lives, and this accomplishment comes through the encouragement of the Holy Spirit. As we are traveling down the right path, we will be encouraged in our Spirit. As we are striving to live the right moments, we will be encouraged in our Spirit. God wants us to know when we are getting it right. He wants us to know when He is pleased with us, and this happens through His Spirit within us. In the opposite, God also wants us to know when we have strayed from the path. He wants us to know when it has come time to turn our lives back in the right direction, and this comes through His Spirit. What a glorious God we serve! A God that cares so much about our daily lives. A God that cares so much about our momentary existence.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, Your encouragement within my life is gratefully appreciated. May I never take it for granted.
