11/15/12 Daily Devotion

Acts 2:36-37 “Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” [37] When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

How much of your life have you invested in God? Peter’s words dug deep into the hearts of those listening on the day of Pentecost. Truth and wisdom flew through his words into their hearts, and they were filled with an overwhelming desire to invest their lives into the gospel and all that it represented. They were changed. They were altered in mind and heart. They saw what they were and what they needed to become, and they instantly set themselves before God and sought His face. When was the last time you felt as if your life was fully invested in God? We can set ourselves partially into many things: our work, our home lives, our friendships. But when it comes to God, it is all or nothing.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, I want to completely invest my life into serving You. I know this desire changes everything. But I know it can happen, as long as I focus daily on Your will for my life.
