2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

Families are gathering around the table. Trees are trimmed and brightly lit. Presents are beautifully wrapped under the tree. Christmas is coming. It’s only a few short hours away. The children are getting excited, as their parents prepare to see the excitement upon their faces. The main focus is centered around family, gifts, and food, but is this where it should be directed? Yes, we should be focused on our families, our gatherings, and the sharing of gifts, but we should not neglect to spend time considering the greatest gift of all, the gift that is literally indescribable. All the meaning behind the entrance of Jesus within this world, all the purpose behind His life, all the love that He expressed on the cross, it is all indescribable. We can try to formulate words. We can try to completely understand. We can try to describe our feelings to others, but most of the time what we feel, the real presence of Christ, is indescribable. As we gather with our families and friends, may we spend considerable time remembering all that Jesus has done and all that He will continue to do for us in the future.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, may I focus daily a considerable amount of time to remember Your sacrificial love.
