1/4/13 Daily Devotion

Psalm 12:1-2 Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race. [2] Everyone lies to their neighbor; they flatter with their lips but harbor deception in their hearts.

Our lives would be proved to live with much more simplicity if we were to walk as the majority walks. We would not stand out; we would not be glared at. We would not be chastised for following a more strict set of beliefs and standards, but that would cause us to walk in disgrace. We must not conform to the standards of the world. We must vastly exceed these standards if we are seeking to please God. This will not be an easy task, but that’s where our faith comes into the picture. If it is our hearts’ desire to please God, God will help us make this happen.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, give me the power to walk within and demonstrate the faith that I have in You.
