2/7/13 Daily Devotion

1 Peter 3:13 Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?

Sometimes we hold back from certain tasks because we are afraid of what may come to pass. Sometimes we give up on opportunities that have been placed within our presence because we are fearful of the future. When we abstain from serving God because of fear, we demonstrate that we have not relinquished all of our lives into His control. Christians should always be eager to do what is good. As the Bible states, there is no harm in being eager to to good works. There is no harm in desiring to do the will of God. This desire is what separates us from the rest of the world. This desire is what demonstrates that we are children of God. How do you prefer to be recognized, as a child of God that is eager to serve, or as child of the world?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me become recognizable as a Christian.
