3/4/13 Daily Devotion

Psalm 42:1-2 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. [2] My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Having a relationship with God is more than a claim. We can claim to be followers, we can claim to have given our lives over to God, we can claim our desire to live and serve Him, but words without actions are meaningless. We must, if we are serious about the presence of God within our lives, long for Him. If we are serious about serving God, we must thirst for His presence. How serious are you about the presence of God within your life? Can those within your life see you longing for God’s presence and direction. Can those who observe you from a distance see you thirsting for the movement of God within your life?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me have a powerful desire to seek Your presence within my life.
