3/8/13 Daily Devotion

Jeremiah 50:4 “In those days, at that time,” declares the Lord, “the people of Israel and the people of Judah together will go in tears to seek the Lord their God.

Has your search for God ever left you in tears? It matters not if they were tears of joy or tears of conviction; all that matters is their presence. When we go after God completely, the tears will come. When we come to a powerful realization of our sins, the tears will flow. When we realize all the Jesus endured so we can have forgiveness and salvation, the tears will hit the floor. There is a phrase that states the following: “Real Men Don’t Cry.” In a sense, this might be true if you aren’t a Christian. However, there is nothing wrong with the shedding of tears, especially when it comes to our faith. Stop for a moment and powerfully gather within your mind the understanding of what Jesus did on the cross, then let those tears flow.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, I am so grateful for Your sacrifice on the cross for me. Please help me demonstrate this through my daily actions.
