4/1/13 Daily Devotion

Psalm 4:4 Tremble and do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.

Anger comes quickly when we feel like we have been forced on the wrong side of a situation. The quickness of our anger is directly related to the level at which our feelings have been fractured. One of the keys to being a Christian is finding the ability to control our anger within all situations. Being angry itself is not sinful, for God expresses anger, but He utilizes it appropriately. In most cases, we do not use anger properly, especially in those circumstances where we believe we can justify our actions. So what are we to do with our anger? The simplest answer is to give it to God. When we transfer our irritation, our hurt, our pain, and our anger to God, He will give us a sense of peace. For as we release it, we know that He will have the last word in the end.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me refrain from sinning when I am angry. Help me give all my situations to You, for Your consideration.
