4/10/13 Daily Devotion

Jeremiah 17:7-8 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. [8] They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

When we have faith in God, our worries are small in stature, for when we trust in Him there is no need to consider the outcome. He already knows the outcome. Worry comes when the wellsprings of life run dry, but those who are grounded in their faith can reach past the current circumstances and grasp their past experiences with God, understanding what He will do in the present and into the future. When we are grounded in God through our faith, we will be able to reach into our circumstances, set them before Him, and release the hold that they have upon our lives. Faith erases worry, so why don’t we make a commitment to allow our faith to erase all that strives to hold us from living the life that God has set before us.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help my faith emerge through all of my circumstances, allowing me become a strong person of faith.
