7/15/13 Daily Devotion

Acts 17:11 Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.

Did you know that there is no human mind that contains all that the Bible has to teach? While many pastors want us to think they know it all, in actuality, even though they have obtained an enormous amount of Biblical knowledge, they still do not know everything there is to know about the Bible. Thus, we need more than Sunday morning instruction. We need to find opportunities to gather with other Christians and seek to correctly divide the Word of God. Personal study, group study, and church Bible studies must become part of our normal daily lives. Otherwise, we will be overcome by the schemes and workings of the devil. How often does your Bible get opened? How often does God see you studying His Word?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me make Your Word a powerful part of my life.
