8/1/13 Daily Devotion

2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

There are times within all of our lives that we are ashamed of our words or actions, especially if we are seen by others, for no one is perfect. But how would we feel if God observed us at our weakest moments? How would we feel if God saw us when we were not really acting like Christians? Somewhere deep down inside us, we know God has complete knowledge of our existence; we just hard try to forget this fact. What would life become if we chose to live knowing God is always aware of our existence? What kind of example would we set if we lived like the presence of God was always within our reach? We are to do our best to present ourselves to this world as Christians. How well are you doing?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me change into a reflection of You that will bring You glory and honor within this world.
