8/10/13 Daily Devotion

2 Corinthians 1:11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Paul understood how much power was found in the prayers of others. Paul understood that when others prayed for him, he was going to feel the power and presence of God. It is evident that Paul relied on the power of prayer. While he struggled, the prayers of others lifted him. While he was imprisoned, the prayers of others gave him strength. While he was sharing the gospel, the prayers of others gave him courage. How much do you depend on the prayers of others? Are you willing to ask others to pray? Are you sharing your concerns with them, so they may stand in the gap for you and your situation? Many people today prefer to keep their concerns to themselves. In turn, they miss out on great blessings.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me find people who care enough about me to lift me into Your presence daily through prayer.
