8/12/13 Daily Devotion

1 Kings 18:37 Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”

When was the last time you had some real time with God? When was the last time you really felt the presence of God moving within your life? When was the last time you overwhelmingly felt the love of God flowing through your life? It happens to us all at one point or another, the feeling of separation from God. Maybe it’s related to a sin working within you. Maybe it’s related to a job that has carried you away from your church attendance. Maybe its related to certain friends that do not have the same convictions as you, or maybe it’s because you have not dusted off your Bible in a long time and embraced its teaching. For whatever reason, it has happened to us all, but we do not have to remain in this position. God wants us to become restored and revived. He wants us to experience His love and accept His forgiveness. He wants us to get back on the right path, the path to righteousness. All He asks is that we reach for Him and trust in His ways.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me reach for Your presence and trust in Your righteous ways.
