10/8/13 Daily Devotion

Romans 12:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

Our reactions to moments within another’s life, as Christians, are important; in fact, their presence cannot be understated. Everyone experiences life, but we do so in a manner that is cohesive with our purpose for existing. For everyone, during these difficult moments, we come across the possibility of questioning our purpose, the possibility of questioning of faith. These moments do not demean our faith or give the impression that it is fractured. These moments are times of strengthening, but this should not occur within solitude. Our friendship with another has power. Our companionship has strength. Our stories of struggle can change someone’s life for all eternity. Let us then choose to be a visible tool to be utilized by God within the lives of others for His glory and their restoration.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, use me to help others find You within the circumstances of their lives.
