11/13/13 Daily Devotion

Ephesians 4:3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Unity does not rise up out of strife. Unity does not emerge from hatred. Unity does not emerge from anger. Unity comes from peace. When sides have been chosen and lines have been drawn in the sand, unity is far from possible. Unity comes from peace. When peace rules, unity flows. When peace prevails, unity flourishes. When peace is the standard, unity is a natural byproduct. To be unified in Christ is to walk within the peace that can only come from a powerful, personal, unified relationship with Him.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, draw me into a unified relationship with You.
