1/21/14 Daily Devotion

Matthew 18:16-17 But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

One of the jobs of a church leader is to deal with the conflict within the church. This task is not one that the average church leader will embrace with joy, but it is a task that they will strive to bring to fruition. Our job as church members is to pray that our leaders willingly embrace this aspect of their positions. Our job is to pray that they walk into these situations without any bias, without already having already chosen a side other than that which is Biblically correct.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me pray for the leaders of my church in such a powerful way that they feel Your presence within their lives.
