1/30/14 Daily Devotion

Psalm 102:21-22 So the name of the Lord will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the Lord.

As we gaze throughout any congregation within this country, we will notice that each has at least one thing in common. Within every congregation, we will find that some of those attending are only a small part of the whole of their family. In other words, within each of our congregations, we worship with some members of families whose families do not join them at church. Some don’t attend a church, some go to other churches, and still others come once every so many years. If we want to have strong families, we must strive to be families that worship together. We must try to do all that we can to bring our families into the fold, into the sanctuary, into the house of God. We must show them the importance of worshiping as a family of God.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me show my family the necessity of being part of a church and the impact that it can have on their lives.
