2/20/14 Daily Devotion

Galatians 2:3-5 Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek. This matter arose because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

Society has certainly changed in the past 25 years. Technology and science have transformed us into a world that never seemed possible, one that no one could have imagined 25 years in the past. But along with our marvelous advances, we have lost ground in many facets of life, religion being the worst. We have come to accept compromise under the guise of political correctness. We have almost given up taking a stand for ALL the principles and life directives taught in the Bible under the guise of political correctness and compassion for all mankind. There is nothing wrong with compassion. In fact, as Christians, our lives should be filled with compassion, but not on the coat tails of compromising the truth of scripture. Our stand must be intentional, purposeful, and focused upon the truth of God and His Word; otherwise, it’s not a true Christian stance at all.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, show me how to stand up for You. Teach me how to remain focused on You. Help me show others that I am not ashamed of Your presence within my life.
