2/24/14 Daily Devotion

Galatians 3:3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

What is our goal? As Christians, our goal should be to glorify God with out lives. While this is our main goal, we must understand that is comprised of many smaller goals which allow us to reach the point where our lives glorify God. If we attempt to reach this goal alone, we will fail, for it is impossible without the help of God and the encouragement of others. Paul had become agitated with the Galatians. They knew God. They believed in God. They trusted God, and now they were trying to move forward without Him. They turned to justification by law, not God. Our focus, our reason for existence, our goal, should always be God. We must obey the law, but we must never allow that law to supersede God. It all comes down to our goals. Our actions are reflective of our goals. What’s your goal in life?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help it be known that I am here to live for You and You alone.
