2/26/14 Daily Devotion

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.

It’s hard to imagine those words describing our Lord and Savior. It’s hard to imagine those words describing what He did for all humanity. It’s hard to imagine, but that is exactly what He did for us out of love. Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, died for us in what was considered a despicable, cursed manner. Jesus died for us in this manner because that was what was necessary for us to receive salvation. When we think of it that way, when we consider it through this light, it changed His actions. What Jesus did for us becomes more real, more personal. He was willing to give us His life in the lowest of ways, so that we could live with Him in the greatest of places, Heaven. Is your life demonstrating your appreciation of His actions?

Prayer Starter:

Lord help my life show You my appreciation for Your actions upon the cross. Help me show You how grateful I am each and every day that You are a part of my life.
