3/4/14 Daily Devotion

Galatians 4:11 I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you.

How many times have we felt this way? How many times have we reached out to someone with the gospel only to feel like it was time well wasted? While we might not get instant, direct results from our outreach,, we should never feel as if it were wasted time. When reaching out with the gospel, we might not get the opportunity to see the fruits of our labor for a long time, if at all. While Paul felt like he might have wasted his time, deep down inside he knew this was not true. He knew that even if they refused right now to do what was right, they had embedded within their hearts all that he had taught, all that he had presented. For all of us, it is not about the number we reach. It is about the changing of a heart, and for many, that takes time. So don’t be discouraged. Plant the seeds and pray that God will use them to transform people in His time.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me not become discouraged as I share Your Word with others.
