Ephesians 4:12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

Why has God given us a purpose? Why have we been ordained with specific abilities and/or gifts? The answer is simple, for the glory of God and the edification of His people. When fellow believers work to discover their gifts, put those gifts into action, and serve God, God’s people are blessed. When we all utilize our abilities, we make a difference within the church and its outreach, but we also make a difference within the lives of its members, within the lives of the people who worship within her sanctuary, within the lives of those who serve from its open doors. We are here to live out loud for Jesus, and in doing so we will have an impact on more people than we could ever imagine.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, show me how I can utilize my talents to serve the people within Your church.
