Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children

When people look at you, who would they say you are reflecting? Who would they say you are imitating? Often we will look at someone and say something like, “You act like your mother,” or “You are an exact copy of your father.” We say something to that effect because their actions, words, and/or attitudes reflect that person. So, in essence, they are imitators of that person. But what if we are Christians? Shouldn’t people also see us imitating God? Shouldn’t they see us imitating Jesus? As Christians, we must become imitators of Christ if we are going to have a positive impact on this world. We must become imitators of Christ if we are going to reach the lost, find the hurting, and guide the seeking to the foot of the cross. The bottom line is simple: If we are not imitators of Christ, we are imitators of something and/or someone worldly.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me have a powerful desire to become an imitator of You in every area of my life.
