7/3/14 Daily Devotion

Ephesians 5:5 for of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a man is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Why would Paul say such things? Why would he state that certain people will be refused at the gates of Heaven? Isn’t Heaven for everybody? Yes, of course, Heaven is for everybody, but not everybody is willing to give up the way they want to live their lives for eternity in Heaven. Paul is stating these facts because they are factual. No sinners will be allowed to spend eternity in Heaven. No one who has not given their lives over to God will be allowed to be within His presence for all eternity. How we live is important, so important that it directly effects our eternal placement. God does not want even one person to suffer in Hell, but He doesn’t make the choice, for the choice lies within our hearts. The choice is ours.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me choose to follow You each and every day I walk upon this earth.
