11/19/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 1:3 but Esau I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals.”

We may feel as if we have fooled God here on earth, but to us all there will come a time when we have to give an answer for all that has happened within our lives. We can navigate through life sharing a false testimony, living a false life, and fool a multitude, but we will never fool God. While people can only see that which we allow them to see, God sees it all, even that which lies deep within our hearts. Even that which we believe we have hidden away is not hidden from God. Knowing this should encourage us to live our lives in reality, not fantasy, in truthfulness, not behind a false front. Knowing this should encourage us to live in a manner that pleases God and shows Him the respect that He deserves.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me live a truthful life focused on pleasing You.
