11/25/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 1:7 “You place defiled food on my altar.“But you ask, ‘How have we defiled you?’“By saying that the Lord’s table is contemptible.

It’s hard to believe, but there are times when we just don’t see our incorrect actions. Most of the time when this occurs it’s because we have become blinded by our own ideology, our own definition of right and wrong. We have drawn a line, and even if it doesn’t go along with the desire or will of God, if it fits into our spectrum of right and wrong, we go along with it. If it benefits us in some way, we allow it to exist. When confronted, we wonder what we have done, because in our eyes we have done nothing. What we need to remember is that it’s not our opinion about right and wrong that matters. As we stand before God in judgment, we will see clearly that it’s only His opinion that matters.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me see that Your ways are better than mine.
