11/27/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 1:10-11 “Oh, that one of you would shut the temple doors, so that you would not light useless fires on my altar! I am not pleased with you,” says the Lord Almighty, “and I will accept no offering from your hands. My name will be great among the nations, from the rising to the setting of the sun. In every place incense and pure offerings will be brought to my name, because my name will be great among the nations,” says the Lord Almighty.

Most of the time, our lives are lived in a good manner, but more often than not we pick up some incorrect habits, habits that are not pleasing to God. While these habits might not be to detrimental to our witness, we should strive to remove them before they come to escalate into something worse. The longer we allow incorrect actions to fester within our lives, the more power we transfer over to their existence. Eventually, they will lead us into a position where our salvation might come into question. The best course of action is simple: stop the incorrect actions and live our lives in a manner that pleases God.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me remove any impure actions from my life and live in a manner that pleases You.
