12/10/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 2:12 As for the man who does this, whoever he may be, may the Lord cut him off from the tents of Jacob–even though he brings offerings to the Lord Almighty.

We can’t live against God; we can’t ignore the presence of God. We can’t set God aside and expect there to be no consequences. If we choose to leave God out of our lives, if we choose to put Him in a position of least importance, we should expect there to be consequences. God will not force Himself into our lives. He will not force us to love Him. He will not force us to worship Him. He will not force us to have anything to do with Him. He wants our relationship with Him to be genuine. He wants us to desire to live for Him because of all that He has done to bring blessings into our lives.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me be willing to set aside everything else in my life and give You the place that only You deserve to hold.
