12/12/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 2:14-15 You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, because you have broken faith with her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant. Has not ˻the Lord˼ made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.

Life can be harsh at times. It can come at us filled with a negative force that just seems to desire to rip us into pieces. It can come at us with what seems like a desire to tear us apart piece by piece. Even so, if we have been saved, we have a God that loves us and cares about that which is happening in our lives. Even so, we must find the strength and the courage to walk forward in faith, holding onto our relationship with God. Life can be harsh, it can be filled with negativity, but we serve a God who can turn that all around into something that makes us stronger and more focused on Him, into a person that brings Him glory while presenting a powerful witness within the world.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help my witness remain steadfast, even within the moments of trial, even as this world tries to pull me from Your presence.
