12/15/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 3:1 “See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.

God surely did send a messenger, Jesus. God sent His one and only Son to this earth that we might have a way to receive forgives and salvation, that we might have a way to walk upon the path that leads to Heaven. Through the shed blood of Jesus, we have received the message of God. That message is simple: God loved us so much that He sent His son to die in our place, a death we deserved, a death we continually deserve, so that we can be saved. The choice is ours to live in or reject this messenger. The choice is ours, but it is certainly a simple choice. Do we want to have it all here upon this earth and be separated forever from the presence of God, or do we want to live a good life here and spend an eternity in the presence of God? Will you receive the message of the messenger or will you remain the same? Make a choice and live with it here on earth. Make a choice and understand that you will have to live with it for all eternity.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me choose to set my worldly ways aside and live wholeheartedly for You.
