12/3/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 2:4-5 And you will know that I have sent you this admonition so that my covenant with Levi may continue,” says the Lord Almighty. “My covenant was with him, a covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him; this called for reverence and he revered me and stood in awe of my name.

Levi stands as an example for all who desire to serve God. Levi revered God. Levi held God in the position that only He deserves. He loved God and displayed this through his daily life. Levi sets the bar high and makes it hard for us to reach such a position. That stated, while it is hard, it is not unobtainable, for all things are possible with God. If we begin to live our lives holding God on the high position that He deserves, our lives will change. They will become more properly focused. They will become something that glorifies God. They will become something that sets the bar high for others, or we can just continue to go through life exactly as we are and make no real, personal difference in the lives of others.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help my life become one that demonstrates to You exactly what You mean to me because of all that You have done within my life.
