12/5/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 2:8 But you have turned from the way and by your teaching have caused many to stumble; you have violated the covenant with Levi,” says the Lord Almighty.

If you have been saved and sanctified by the blood of Jesus, there is an expectation of how you are called to live your life. This expectation comes from the desires of God for His glory, but also for the edification of mankind. What this means is that God expects us to live a certain way after we have been saved. Reason number one is to bring Him honor and glory for all that He has done within our lives. Reason number two is to bring forth an example into this world that will allow others to see, feel, and experience the presence of God. So, simply stated, if we have been saved, we should be acting in a way that demonstrates this fact to be true and not in a manner that allows it to come into question.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me understand the need to always bring forth an example of faith that glorifies You and edifies others.
