12/8/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 2:10 Have we not all one Father? Did not one God create us? Why do we profane the covenant of our fathers by breaking faith with one another?

What’s important to you? What keeps your mind turning? What causes you to fret and worry? The answer to the afore mentioned questions will probably be centered around the same things. That which stands at the forefront of our minds, at the center of our day, is that which is most important within our lives. Is that, by any chance, God? While there is nothing wrong with having things, liking things, or worrying about the outcome of certain things, it should be obvious that God is the center of our lives. Life will bring us good and bad times. It will challenge us and bring us joy, but in all things we should allow God to remain at the forefront of our minds, activities, and actions, the forefront of our lives.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, come powerfully into my life and become the main focus of who I am, the primary focus of my existence.
