12/27/14 Daily Devotion

Malachi 3:17-18 “They will be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.

There is a huge difference in the person that has been saved. They have a different, more unique outlook on life. They see how frail their lives were and understand what God can and will do if they are willing to walk the path of righteousness. We can see this difference as we interact with them on a daily basis. We can feel this difference as they move through life with an adjusted outlook. We can experience this as they continually grow and mature. But even more importantly, we can experience this in our lives if we are willing to admit we need God, if we are willing to admit that we need His forgiveness. That’s the hard part for most people. They do not want to believe that they are sinners. They do not want to believe that they have done wrong. We will see the difference between good and bad, godly and ungodly, but the question we must answer is: which will be reflected in our lives?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me know what it truly means to be Your follower.
