1/19/15 Daily Devotion

Acts 2:1-2 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

Following the directive of Jesus, they went to and waited in Jerusalem. Believing His Words, they gathered and waited for the glorious gift of the Spirit. They waited. Then, in a miraculous way, it happened. God came, just as He had promised. God can be believed. Even when He feels so far away, He is near. God can be trusted. Even when we are walking through the worst moments of our lives, God is near. God must be honored in all areas of our lives. God has proven His love throughout all history again and again. He has shown us that He will never leave nor will He ever forsake us for any reason, again and again. So it’s time for us to wait for the movement of God within our lives. To know and believe that He will show up and show us His love.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me know and feel the power of Your love.
