1/6/15 Daily Devotion

Acts 1:3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.

After His sufferings, after Jesus suffered and died, after He rose from the dead, Jesus continued to share knowledge about the kingdom of God. His risen life was proof of God’s intentions, proof of God’s desire to offer forgiveness to anyone, anyone who would call upon His name. Luke was passionate about the message of Jesus, passionate enough to see the need to share it with as many people as possible. Can the same be said of us? Can others see the powerful Word of God flowing through our lives? Can they see an urgency in us to share the gospel with anyone who will listen? Can they see how much it means to have the gospel as part of our lives? If the answer to any or all of these questions is NO, we have some serious soul searching that needs to be done.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help my witness for You be seen openly as I journey through life.
