2/11/15 Daily Devotion

Acts 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

Peter, after the crippled man lifts up his head, after they meet eye to eye, offers him something he never expected, but it was all Peter had to give. Peter could not help financially. Instead, he offered the man a new outlook on life. He offered him a new way to live. He offered him a future, through healing in the name of Jesus. We cannot give what we do not possess. God does not expect us to offer away what we need to survive. He only expects us to give from our bounty, our plenty, our hearts. Giving is easy, as long as we have hearts that are willing to release what they own into the life of someone in need.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me become a person prone to sharing from my bounty.
