2/14/15 Daily Devotion

Acts 3:9-10 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

As he entered the temple, he was recognized. Some of them were probably his friends. Some were probably his acquaintances, but most of them knew him as the crippled man they passsed as they walked through the temple gate. They were utterly amazed at what they were observing. In seeing him, some probably felt that their doubts had come to light. Others, seeing his reaction as he entered the temple, were awestruck. They didn’t know what to believe. They didn’t know how to react. Still others praised God along with him, for they understood what had happened, and honored God for changing this man’s life. How do we react when we know God has moved within our lives? Do we jump to our feet and bring forth exclamations of joy, or do we just move forward? How we react to every situation is important. How we show our appreciation to God for all that He has done is important. How have you expressed your praise to God lately?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me show my appreciation for all You have done within my life through my continuous offering of praise.
