2/4/15 Daily Devotion

Acts 2:44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.

It’s hard to imagine such a large group of people having everything in common. It’s hard to imagine even a few people, a few friends, having everything in common. So how is it possible that they would have had everything in common? The answer had everything to do with their focus; it had everything to do with that which came to be important within their lives. What was their focus? Simply stated, their focus was Jesus. Nothing else mattered. It was all about Jesus. It was all for His glory. It was all for the edification. Can the same be said of us and our families? Do we have a powerful, common focus on Jesus? Do we have a powerful desire to constantly learn more and more about Jesus?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help my life be a reflection of that which defines Your presence and my desire to follow You.
