2/20/15 Daily Devotion

Acts 3:17 “Now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.

We try to use this same excuse today. We claim that it’s not really our fault that we sin, because we are acting in ignorance. We can make this claim all we want, but it will not stand up on the day of our judgment. The Bible is clear as it states that all have knowledge that God exists. Those to whom Peter is speaking did not have the whole story. They did not have all the information needed to make an informed decision. We have all the necessary information, thus we are left without excuse. We are left without justification for our sins. On the day we stand before God, we can say anything we want, but it will do us no good, for God knows the true content of our hearts and our intentions.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me understand that I will be held accountable for my actions while upon this earth.
